De Sering is an open space. This means that we try to facilitate the initiatives and plans of you and our guests. We are not trying to set a certain 'style' or cater to a specific group. We love variety, cross-pollination and bringing all kinds of events to life!
However, we are a facilitator and host, not an organiser. You as the external party play the role of the organiser and take responsibility for the agenda, music, security, set-up, build-down & cleaning.

We receive many requests to use our space every day. We can only accommodate your request if we can minimise the amount of time spent coordinating each event. We therefore ask you to follow this process and read everything very well.
After your request is sent, please expect a response within 5 working days and be patient with our small team!

Organize your own!
What do we offer? We offer the space for free or for very little money. We assist with promotion by featuring your initiative on our website, social media, and in our monthly update to our subscribers. Due to the large number of various events taking place and limited resources, we cannot provide extensive assistance with setting up for your event, working out logistics, and the like. However, we will do the best we can!
What kind of events can take place?
Anything within the physical limitations of our place! We have over 180m2 of floor space inside. We can seat around 130 people, but more often aim for 90, and can host 275 people standing and dancing. We have an extensive sound system, a basic lights set-up, and a large kitchen.
Keep in mind, however, that our space is one open room (including the kitchen), and parts of the room can be sectioned off with curtains but are not soundproof. We serve lunch or dinner in this space on most days. In our experience, we can easily accommodate a variety of events. However, hosting a private meditation course on a Saturday night might be challenging...
